Anja
"I wasn't expecting to see you back... here." Anja addressed the woman cautiously as she carefully bundled up flowers. "As for me... I decided home was best, after all. So I came here and opened this shop."
Deep down, Anja knows that this life isn't what she had imagined for herself. She doesn't regret it at this stage, but when she was young, it caused a great amount of pain. She enjoys her shop, her peaceful life. On the homefront, however, things are not as successful.
She's been on the lookout for a girlfriend, but an incident in college a decade prior drags behind her like a long shadow. A woman she was interested in, whose feelings she hurt because of a sexuality crisis.
And what would she know, on a peaceful Friday morning like every other, that woman walks into her store, 10 years older and 10 times more gorgeous than all those years ago. She is home now as well, and Anja perhaps sees a chance - to set things right.
The two of them enter a tenuous friendship, acting like nothing ever happened, like their relationship was normal like it'd been so long ago. But Anja knows she's in love with her, even after all this time.
Anja is a very resourceful lady. When stuff didn't work out for her in the city, she used her own sweat, blood and tears to open up her shop. Perhaps due to this, she is also a very organized person, almost to a fault. It can be a bit overwhelming sometimes when there's too much chaos.
As a result, she's easily flustered - and tends to act on impulse when this happens, sometimes leading to regrettable situations (read: the situation with Johanna 10 years ago) Because of this, she tries her best not to get in those situations, but life isn't much of her friend in that regard.
Sometimes, she tends to bottle things up and take it all upon herself, despite the great number of people ready to support her at any moment.
( crush, old friend )
Anja had a gay awakening about her in college and the two of them got a liiiittle drunk and got up to some nonsense that Anja immediately felt very strange about.
Because of her hangups about her own feelings and sexuality, the two of them didn't talk much until graduation and they went their separate ways. That was when Anja thought she'd never see her again - despite all this, they have now met again, in the hometown neither thought they'd ever come back to.
