Arashi Haibara (灰原嵐)
“So what, I heard girls go crazy for scars.” Arashi grinned from ear to ear as she put her elbows on the table, laying her head down on the smooth wooden surface. “Wouldn’t you say so?”
Arashi has a knack for getting herself into trouble. Since her mid-to-late teens, she's been in a series of relationships that always blow up in her face. After yet another of these, she's starting to get tired of it.
As she contemplates just drinking away any of these thoughts and troubles, she finds herself being scolded by the hostess bar manager, and her long-term friend, Yuina. The two of them get along, and she finds herself spilling the beans despite herself.
Yuina offers to be a shoulder to cry on, a conversation partner for when she needs something off her chest. Soon, she discovers something about herself that she would've perhaps liked to have stayed inside...
The frivolous exterior that Arashi has held for the past nearly two decades has always been an act. When she was a teenager, she was deeply hurt, and emotionally, parts of her struggle to move on from this time, opting instead to create walls.
Internally, she is deeply insecure about her dynamic in relationships; she feels broken inside for not truly "loving" her partners back, and for a long time, she doesn't understand why that is, and refuses to interrogate it, leading her to hurt many a previous girlfriend.
( friend/crush )
Yuina is the friend that tells Arashi how it is without sugarcoating it, and while it hurts to hear sometimes, Arashi knows deep down she's right, and that she is one of the few people who give a shit.
Arashi realizes too late what this means about her own feelings for the woman, and she falls rather inelegantly into a relationship with her after she tried swearing off on dating for good.
