Damaris is the wife of one of the biggest real estate old money moguls in the industry. She knows that realistically, many women yearn for this life. But had she told her 18-year-old self, unwilling pregnant to a man nearly twice her age, to "aspire" to this life... she knew she would've denied it.
With her son an adult now, Damaris finds herself rather alone most of the time. Her husband does not pay her any attention, and she knows he's having affairs with girls in their late teens and early 20s. She knows it all, but pretends it's fine. It's an aspirational life.
Still, when she meets that woman at a party... the woman that her son brought with him... she got this stirring feeling in her chest, like she didn't want to stay the way she was.

On the outside, Damaris is the perfect wife - she has talents in cooking, she's eloquent, she never complains, she always takes care of herself, and she shows up at her rich husband's parties to socialize. She's popular, she's raised a son on the way to his career. Despite all this, Damaris is deeply unhappy.
Resentment has built up over the years for the man who forced her to be stuck this way, and with her son in his adult years, she has nothing tying her to this life anymore, no shackles holding her down. She fears breaking free, but she can feel the urge to build up brick by brick.

Klotilde is the woman that is currently involved with Damaris' son, so why is it that she finds herself so drawn to her? The woman is charming, beautiful, and they have a lot of fun together... maybe a little too fun.
Damaris seeks in some ways her lost youth, but in other ways, she simply seeks companionship that she is not getting in her family, and Klotilde becomes that for her, seeking her out for companionship as well. And they go a little too far, perhaps...

She has a very mature style, though sometimes she yearns for brighter, cuter colors, something she doesn't make known on the outside.
