As any other teenager, Liya is fearful of her future. She worked hard to enter a private girls' university, but new places always bring new people who tend to have opinions on her.
For Liya isn't just any girl, even if she may think herself as such - a rare genetic condition has affected not only her health, but also her appearance. Her striking eyes and hair is all that anyone ever notice about her.
Because of this, she is rather surprised to find another girl in her class with a very similar appearance. She wonders if it's just coincidence... but could it really be? She doesn't have the confidence to actually approach her and ask about it. The girl, Rui, is a cool, confident girl who seems to have it all figured out.

Liya is a rather shy girl, not unrelated to her medical condition. When one is weak and going to checkups almost every week, it cuts into school time - and especially time to make friends.
She has gained n affinity for reading as she doesn't like being alone with her thoughts. She doesn't have any ambitions about making friends in university, as her life has been emblematic of the kind of treatment she expects from others.

A girl from class that looks strangely similar to her. The two of them quickly become friends, and after seeing a certain incident, Liya starts to suspect she may have a crush on her.
Rui is a free-spirited, cool-headed person and Liya admires that about her, wondering where she finds all that strength within her.
- Liya is very characteristic in her platinum blonde hair and purple eyes; particularly, there is a strange green ring around her iris - it's caused by her condition, but since it is relatively unknown, no one knows the actual reason that she looks that way. Her hair's low pigmentation is a similar issue. She is also very sensitive to sunlight - especially her eyes. She will sometimes wear tinted glasses at the height of summer once it gets too bad for her to be outside.
- She wears a light green dress with an iridescent bolero on top of it. Holding the bolero together is a fancy brooch with purple gemstones on it, and a pendant. The purple bows with flowers really round out the outfit, giving it some extra color. She likes wearing cute, almost fairy-like clothes and aesthetics, and this dress is no different, light and flowy in fabric. The iridescent bolero is just an effect of me wanting to try it for this design, and also just having an idea that it would suit the ethereal vibe for these two characters. They are supposed to give off this "strange" vibe.
- Her legs are bare, though she will wear sports shorts under her skirt - safety precautions for any girl who doesn't want their underwear showing. On her feet she wears cute heels with bows; she likes wearing all kinds of shoes, but chunky, girly heels are her favorite. Other favorites include platform sneakers and sandals. In the winter months, she tends to wear tights (sometimes even tights that match her skintone) to keep more or less the same look all year round. Surprisingly, she is more weak to heat than cold.
