Flavia
"It was easy for them to hurt me. "Demon child" they said. Eventually, that came true. I became the cursed demon child they wanted."
Flavia's life has always been marked by tragedy. Not out of any fault of her own, mind you. Flavia was just a normal child, born into a normal family, but her mother fell ill shortly after her birth and sadly passed on.
This caused her to get blamed for this incident which she had no part in, and that was when it began, that label; "Demon Child". Flavia was a social pariah, and at first that was all it was.
But her family was all too eager to get rid of her, and her life changed forever when she was taken in the night by a group of people in lab coats. She became the target of experiments to imbue humans with magic.
Many years passed in this facility, and she was brought to the brink of death as a magical core was implanted in her chest instead of her heart. And one day... that smoldering power in her chest... snapped.
Flavia behaves extremely withdrawn for the most part; in her eyes, there has been not a single human in her life on this earth that has treated her with respect. Her family, her friends, the scientists. In her eyes, humans are monstrous, and it deeply affected her.
In reality, there is a curiosity and want for life that has kept her going until now. She lives with the anxiety of what she has become, but she also does not devalue her own life. The thing inside her, whatever it is, it needs her. She wants to live on to see what that means.
She is the best version of herself once she encounters Cassandra, if only because she feels comforted at the lack of humans.
( savior, eventual lover )
Cassandra is the person who saved Flavia when she first wandered into the forest, covered in blood, grime and injuries.
The two of them are wary of each other at first, but it is followed by a sense of peace when it occurs that the two have a lot in common.
