For most of her life, Charlotte has been defined by her calm disposition. She was always on track to knighthood, but it happened earlier than expected when she showed extreme aptitude for combat. She is short-spoken, and never says anything she deems superfluous.
When she entered knight training, a fellow trainee caught her eye; a beautiful, elegant woman with an amorous streak. Her name was Nadine; Charlotte was smitten with her, and the two entered a polyamorous partnership. They have been together for over a decade, and love each other dearly.
For a while, it's just been the two of them. Until they are assigned to a new job - protect the kingdom's prince from any assassins. A special mission, where they learn the "prince" was a "princess" in disguise all along. Emerald doesn't know that they know.

Charlotte possesses an uncanny ability to analyze situations calmly and make swift, appropriate responses, but what many miss about her personality is how intense she is; behind the "icy" stare is a true fire, burning brightly with her every move. It is the part about her that draws people in.
She is dedicated and loyal, and entirely focused on her goals. It could be said that she has a one-track mind. Nadine as her partner mellows her out a lot by being a lot more free-spirited, and the two balance each other well. Though, they are both in agreement about pursuing Emerald's affections.

Charlotte's long term lover and partner; the two of them have been together for over a decade, and despite their differences, work together like peas in a pod. They are almost never separated, and do almost everything together. Including, most often, romantic pursuits.
Emerald is no different; when Charlotte came to Nadine about her feelings for the lord, Nadine was right there to agree with her - yes, she is a most adorable person, and they ought to make her theirs. This started their pursuit of the would-be prince.

Charlotte's lord and whom she is currently serving as a retainer; the "prince", Emerald. Charlotte knows that she is a woman, but keeps up the charade at all times, lest anyone hear.
She finds Emerald irresistibly cute. Charlotte can't help but stare at her at any given chance; she knows she is being obvious about it, but that isn't a tactic that she minds at all. She doesn't care if Emerald notices - in fact, she is hoping that the prince will.
- She is of a very diligent personality, so her style reflects that; she wears her uniform very traditionally, and her hair is always slicked back into a neat ponytail. The golden squiggle on her chest is the royal insignia, which is a part of the uniform.
- She's rarely seen without her trusty glaive, a weapon that she can surprisingly wield one-handed; hers looks pretty heavy but she still uses it like it isn't.
- She's known for her "icy stare", though anyone who knows her more intimately knows that she is far from any "ice queen", in fact quite the opposite. Nadine in particular loves this about her, gushing about her beauty to anyone who will listen. They truly are life partners.
